Daniel worked as an electrical engineer on utility-scale fossil and renewable projects at Burns & McDonnel before moving to Arizona Public Service.  He had only been at APS four months when the McMicken battery explosion occurred.  This drove him to get heavily involved in battery safety research, fire codes and standards, and fire department outreach and training.  Daniel recently moved into a newly created role at Terra-Gen to support the rapid expansion of one of the largest fleets of BESS in California.
