Jeannie Amber is a Lead Engineer in Grid Modernization at Eversource. She is leading the team responsible for planning and implementing the Company’s Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS). She has a background in Distributed Energy Resource (DER) interconnections and wrote technical standards and policies for protection for DER in roles at both Eversource and National Grid in New England. She participated in the IEEE 1547-2018 working group with a focus on protection and co-led the Modeling & Simulation subgroup. She also served as the IEEE 1547.1 Secretary. Jeannie is a licensed Professional Engineer (Massachusetts) and holds an M.S. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University.
