Mr. Laurence Abcede is the Distributed Energy Resources Manager for SDG&E.  In his current role, he is responsible for the engineering, design, commissioning, and operations of energy storage systems and microgrids that support grid reliability and resiliency.  In his 22-years in the electric industry, he has held technical and leadership positions in various areas of power system design, construction, and operations.   He is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and an emphasis in Power Systems and Controls.  Laurence is also a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of California.
