Shakir Iqbal is the Manager of Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Planning department at Eversource. In this role he has been responsible in developing strategies related to the deployment of DER & technologies that actively interface with the operating Company’s Distribution System ensuring safe, reliable & resilient service. He is also responsible in leading the department in conducting technical analysis on complex Distributed Energy Resources (DER) projects on the Company’s Distribution System. Previously, Mr. Iqbal has lead the T&D Protection & Controls Engineering department where he had performed strategic analysis for the development, expansion, planning, design, maintenance & operation of the system and its equipment in meeting the mission and objectives of the Organization.
